The society is drawn from pupils in their final year at the school, with membership being gained by nomination. Members meet regularly to discuss a range of topics suggested by staff or members and are expected to contribute to a journal. The society's response to the contemporary world, Cassonalia seeks to nurture a marriage between inquiring minds emerging from the cocoon of school life and a world of complexity, oddity and controversy.
