Academic societies include The Hayman Society for years 9, 10 and 11, New Academy for members of the Lower Sixth and The Casson Society for members of the Upper Sixth. Membership automatically includes academic scholars and anyone who has shown the requisite scholarly acumen.  Those thinking of applying to Oxbridge have the Oxbridge Programme to support their application.  Applicants for medical or veterinary school are also provided with supplemented academic programmes.

In addition to academic scholarships, there are scholarships to the College in art, drama, music, design technology and sports.  Enrichment programmes exist in all these areas; the art enrichment programme, the drama enrichment programme, the music enrichment programme, the design technology programme and the elite sports programme.

All scholars and exhibitioners are automatically part of an enrichment programme, as are those pupils whose talents have been observed and who are invited to take part.
