In year 9, when a pupil starts at the College, they study a wide range of subjects, to broaden their experience and to prepare them for the choices they will make for GCSE. Once they reach the Sixth Form, the 10 or 11 subjects they have been studying for GCSE give way to the opportunity to study four subjects in depth at AS level. For their final year at the College, they will study either three or four subjects to A level.
The Life and Learning Skills programme ensures that pupils have an education beyond the examined curriculum. It draws together, amongst other things, personal, social and health education, religious and ethical issues in contemporary society, and critical and creative thinking skills across the five years a pupil spends in the school.
