Pupils take part in a number of schemes, most notably S@S (Service at School), and staff are generous with their time, actively engaging in a number of projects that give clear educational benefit to young people at other schools. It is important to stress the reciprocal educational benefits in many of these activities – very often those who engage in activities to help and serve others gain educationally every bit as much as those whom they are teaching, helping and serving. One’s duty to serve one’s community is a much emphasised tenet of the College.
