“Fascinating... a magnificent achievement...”

Eastbourne College: A Celebration

This first-ever highly illustrated colour portrait of Eastbourne College tells its fascinating story from 1867 to the present day and provides a unique insight into what makes it such a special and diverse community.

A celebration of 140 years
A series of snapshots rather than a straightforward history, Eastbourne College: A Celebration draws on a fascinating range of both archive and recent pictorial material, alongside many amusing, outrageous, witty, serious and moving anecdotes, reflections and personal insights from students, teachers and parents, past and present.

'A magnificent achievement...'
'The famous (or it soon will be) book arrived yesterday. And to my surprise, although I expected to be interested, I found I could just not put it down! In twenty-eight hours I have read it from cover to cover.'
Robin 'RC' Brown (W51)

'I devoured Eastbourne College: A Celebration with delight...'
Peter Albrecht (B47)

'Fascinating... a magnificent achievement.'
Godfrey Milton-Thompson (B43)

'I have just read the book from cover to cover. It has been a day full of memories, recognition of places and old friends, unashamed tears of nostalgia and joy, new facts, old stories, all in an atmosphere of superb writing, visuals, design, editing, collation, detail, research, and, above all, style!'
Jeremy Lovitt-Danks (W55)
