Thursday 31 May, 2.30pm Top Hat Aldwych Theatre, London Based on the classic Astaire/Rogers film and packed full of Irving Berlin’s greatest hits, including Let’s Face the Music and Dance, Cheek to Cheek and Top Hat, White Tie and Tails, Top Hat is a glorious celebration of 1930s song and dance. Starring Tom Chambers, Strictly Come Dancing champion 2008, and Summer Strallen, triple Olivier Award nominee. Group tickets in the stalls cost £35, reduced from £62.50. Note you will have to make your own way to and from London. UPDATE: All tickets are now sold but please contact us if you would like to be added to a waiting list for any returned tickets. |

Saturday 16–23 June 2012 AEGON International Tennis Devonshire Park, Eastbourne World-class players from the ATP and WTA Tours will take to the Devonshire Park courts in this major international tournament, which takes place just before Wimbledon. Sunday 17 June, 7pm Choral Evensong College Chapel This final Choral Evensong of the academic year will help celebrate Graham Jones’s 21 years as Director of Music. Please let us know by 8 June if you would like to come along. Some OEs have asked how they might make a donation for a gift for Graham. Please send any cheque to the OEA office, payable to Eastbourne College. |

Thursday 21 June, 10am Nature walk from Birling Gap to Belle Tout Old Eastbournian Patrick Coulcher, local resident and author of Wildlife Walks Around The Cuckmere Valley, will lead a nature ramble from Birling Gap to Belle Tout and back again. The walk will last from one to two hours and will be a gentle stroll, not a route march! Please meet at Birling Gap car park at 10am. Note that there is a car park charge. Refreshments are available at the National Trust café and toilets are situated by the car park. The walk is free but please let us know if you would like to go so that we are aware of numbers. |

Saturday 8 September ECS annual London walk Make your own way to London and join our group with a professional guide from the London Walks Company. The location of this year’s walk is still to be confirmed – please check this page for updates. Cost is £8 per person (£6 if aged 65+), payable to the guide on the day. |

Saturday 22 September Coach trip to Rochester Cathedral The coach leaves the College at 9am for the journey to Rochester. We have booked a 75-minute tour starting at 12 noon, followed by free time for lunch and a chance to look around the town. Evensong in the Cathedral is at 3.15pm, after which we would start the return trip about 4.15pm, getting back to the College by 6.30pm. Cost per person for the coach and the guided tour will be no more than £25, depending on numbers. Please contact us to reserve your place(s). |

Bridge evening If anyone is interested in a bridge evening in the Michaelmas term then please let us know – we need some people who can play and invite others who want to learn. We would hold this in the Long Room at the College. |
