The start of the event was delayed as thick frost was swept off the running track to ensure safety for the competitors. It would however take alot more than arctic conditions to distract the College athletes and by the end of the day they had amassed a total of 15 medals.

The Year 10 boys,(Josh Pankhurst, Billy Reeves, Hector Veasey); Year 10 girls (Rachel Williams, Abi East, Hannah Manton); and Year 9 girls (Holly Rodemark, Chloe Pollard, Dollie Wilson) all finished with silver medals in the team competition. Josh Pankhurst won an individual silver medal and a best swim medal while Chloe Pollard also picked up a best swim medal.The Year 9 boys (James McNeilly, Luke Howard and Ed Cudlipp) won the Year 9 boys' team competition.

 

All four teams have now qualified for the semi finals at Crystal Palace in February and we extend our congratulations to them all.
