For the first time in recent years Oxford tempted more applicants from the College than Cambridge and the offers reflected this.
At Oxford, Benjamin Stevens has been accepted for Mathematics at University College, Matt Khan for Physics at Somerville, James Mannion for History (open offer), and Lucy Gray for English at Hertford. At Cambridge, Ros Bell was successful for Politics, Psychology and Sociology (PPS) at Newnham College and Sam Brooks for Natural Sciences at Robinson.
We all share in their pride and delight. Several other equally impressive academic minds applied for different courses and colleges without success, but their ambition, their preparation and their enthusiasm deserve equally high praise. The College delights in academic excellence and, through outcomes such as these six Oxbridge offers, is enjoying the rewards of the academic scholarship programme which aims to stretch our most intellectually able pupils. Further details about this programme are available on the College website under Academic – Differentiated Learning.
The six successful pupils are pictured below.
