Promusic

The Promusic series offers four high quality professional concerts each year catering for a wide range of tastes.

The series seeks to provide a varied diet of music of all genres for the College audience, and it has also been a pleasure to welcome a growing following from the local area too. Each year's programme features a concert by up and coming young artists recently graduated from music college, and a celebrity recital given by a well-known name. The performers are encouraged to break down the barriers between the stage and the audience by talking about their music, and there are often opportunities for pupils to take part in masterclasses with the artists.

Among the celebrity performers who have taken part in recent years are numbered Peter Katin, John York, Ruth Waterman, Peter Donohoe, Carlo Curley and Mark Le Brocq. Chamber ensembles, such as Ensemble Bash, Mardi Brass, the Adelaide Chamber Singers and the City Waites, feature regularly whilst contemporary, jazz and world music have been represented by The Irrepressibles, Just East of Jazz, Spencer's Nighthawks and Cascada.

Details of forthcoming concerts may be found in the current Arts Brochure
