Part-time Teacher of French

January 2022

St Andrew’s prep seeks a dynamic and inspirational French teacher to join our outstanding school. Sitting in an envious location next to the sea and at the foot of the South Downs, this is a fantastic position for any ambitious educationalist. An ability to teach another academic subject or be involved in the sporting life of the school would be welcome, although not essential.

Eastbourne College is looking to recruit additional Minibus Driver(s) for mornings and evenings, to transport pupils safely between defined pick-up points and the College, during term time.

5.45am to 8.15am Monday to Friday plus 5.30pm to 8.00pm Monday to Thursday (22.5 hours per week) during term time only. Additional hours may be available. This position could suit a job share.

A full clean driving licence including D1 category to drive mini-buses is essential.

Grounds Person

Eastbourne College is looking to recruit an experienced Grounds Person to assist with the maintenance of the College sports facilities and all associated grounds and equipment.  This will include the effective, efficient and timely maintenance and preparation of all playing surfaces to meet training and fixture requirements; maintaining the cleanliness of ancillary areas such as pavilions and score boxes; maintaining serviceability of associated sports equipment such as posts and nets; and ensuring all vehicles and equipment used are regularly maintained.

Applicants must have a full driving licence and be proficient in operating all types of grounds maintenance machinery, including tractor mounted mowing, aeration, rolling, fertiliser applications and pedestrian mounted equipment.  The position will require knowledge of sports surface maintenance including cricket, rugby, football and artificial surfaces.

NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Maintenance or equivalent is essential.

Information SERVICEs Technician

Eastbourne College require an Information Services Technician to provide first and second line hardware and software maintenance and support for all ICT systems across two local sites. 

The post-holders must have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office and networking.

The role will involve working set shifts to cover the hours 8.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, plus a 1 in 4 Saturday morning and a 1 week in 4 out-of-hours on call duty.

NURSERY ASSISTANT

St Andrew’s Prep is looking for an additional full-time Nursery Assistant to provide a warm and welcoming environment to nurture happy, confident children.

Light, airy and homely, St Andrew’s Prep Nursery is friendly and secure in its own well-equipped building within the school’s spacious grounds. Rated as outstanding, we aim to give children the best possible educational start by providing an environment with no division between learning and play.

Being part of a larger school means that the Nursery enjoys many of the Pre-Prep and Prep facilities including a state of the art sports hall, indoor swimming pool, Forest School site and extensive playing fields. As the school is located so close to the sea, the Nursery staff take the children to the seafront to explore the beach.

This is a full-time position, three days 7.45am to 4.15pm and two days, 9.45am to 6.15pm, all year round. The successful candidate must be NNEB or Level 3 in childcare or Diploma in Early Years with experience of working with children aged 9 to 18 months.

Holroyd Howe is looking to recruit an Administrator to be based at Eastbourne College to provide a professional catering administrative service and contribute towards ensuring that Company standards are maintained and that Company expectations are met within the agreed objectives for the location.
