Head of Modern Foreign Languages

St Andrew’s Prep has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and inspirational teacher to head up our Modern Foreign Languages department.

St Andrew’s is a forward-thinking, busy and friendly coeducational IAPS preparatory school which educates children from 9 months to 13 years and is set in an idyllic location tucked between the South Downs and the sea. It was graded ‘excellent’ in all areas in its last ISI inspection in May 2015.

The successful candidate will teach French from Years 3 to 8 and Spanish to children in Years 7 and 8. This is a fantastic position for any ambitious educationalist.

An ability to teach another academic subject or be involved in the sporting life of the school would be welcome, although not essential.

NURSERY ASSISTANTS

Due to increased numbers of children St Andrew’s Prep is looking for an Individual Needs Learning Assistant and an additional Nursery Assistant to provide a warm and welcoming environment to nurture happy, confident children.

Light, airy and homely, St Andrew’s Prep Nursery is friendly and secure in its own well-equipped building within the school’s spacious grounds. Rated as outstanding, we aim to give children the best possible educational start by providing an environment with no division between learning and play.

Being part of a larger school means that the Nursery enjoys many of the Pre-Prep and Prep facilities including a state of the art sports hall, indoor swimming pool, Forest School site and extensive playing fields. As the school is located so close to the sea, the Nursery staff take the children to the seafront to explore the beach.

Individual Needs Learning Assistant (Fixed-term to end of Summer Term 2020)

This is a part-time position, 8.00am to 1.00pm Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, term time only. The successful candidate must be NNEB or Level 3 in childcare or Diploma in Early Years with experience of individual needs.

Nursery Assistant

This is a permanent, part-time position 7.45am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday, term time only. NNEB or Level 3 in childcare or Diploma in Early Years qualified is preferable.
