FINANCE APPRENTICE

Eastbourne College Incorporated (ECi) seeks a Finance Apprentice who wishes to expand their knowledge of the finance function within this successful educational charity which comprises two schools – Eastbourne College and St Andrew’s Prep. The role is varied and will cover all aspects of accounting to trial balance for a trading subsidiary. The successful candidate will achieve an Apprentice Certificate Level 3 AAT Diploma in Accounting which should be a gateway for further career opportunities.

This post is full time for 18 months, initially, with supported training and assessment at college.

HR & Payroll Administrator

The HR & Payroll team is responsible for providing a highly responsive, efficient, customer focused service to Eastbourne College and St Andrew’s Prep.

We require an efficient, accurate, organised and quality focused administrator to support the team.

To be successful in this role you will need proven practical experience of routine administrative activities (filing, photocopying, organising paperwork, answering telephone queries); sound problem solving skills; computer literacy; excellent verbal and written communication; experience of working collaboratively within a team and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

This is a permanent full-time post all year round. The post is based at Eastbourne College.

Individual Needs Assistant (fixed-term)

St Andrew’s Prep is looking for an Individual Needs Assistant to work with an individual within the classroom and playground environment on a one-to-one basis.

You must be a confident and nurturing individual who has practice working with teaching staff in ensuring that pupils receive the highest possible standards of care and education, becoming safe, secure and successful. Experience is essential.

This is a part-time position, 19 hours per week, to be worked between 8.00am and 1.00pm, Monday to Friday term time only. The appointment will be on a fixed-term basis until the end of the 2021/2022 academic year with a review each term.

Post Graduate Sports Internship

Eastbourne College seeks to appoint a recent graduate to provide a range of supporting functions to the provision of sport at Eastbourne College from September 2021 (or as soon as possible thereafter).

The successful candidate will be completing or have completed a sports related degree or possess a high level of expertise in sport whilst completing a different degree and may be interested in PE teaching and or sport science. A pool lifeguarding qualification would be welcomed but not essential. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in hockey or netball.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute fully to boarding school life.

Single accommodation is provided and meals during term time are available.

NURSERY ROOM LEADER (1 year fixed-term)

St Andrew’s Prep is looking for a Nursery Room Leader to provide a warm and welcoming environment to nurture happy, confident children.

Light, airy and homely, St Andrew’s Prep Nursery is friendly and secure in its own well-equipped building within the school’s spacious grounds. Rated as outstanding, we aim to give children the best possible educational start by providing an environment with no division between learning and play.

Being part of a larger school means that the Nursery enjoys many of the Pre-Prep and Prep facilities including a state of the art sports hall, indoor swimming pool, Forest School site and extensive playing fields. As the school is located so close to the sea, the Nursery staff take the children to the seafront to explore the beach.

This is a full-time position, 7.45am to 4.15pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 9.45am to 6.15pm Thursday, all year round. The successful candidate must be NNEB or Level 3 in childcare or Diploma in Early Years with experience of working with children aged 9 to 18 months.

RESIDENTIAL MATRON

from January 2022 or sooner if possible

Eastbourne College is seeking a residential matron to assist with the health and well-being of boarding pupils (boys) as part of the pastoral team. The role also involves the organisation and supervision of domestic staff and liaison with all Charity staff, pupils, parents and guardians.

Applicants must have a genuine wish to look after pupils and assist in the domestic running of a boarding house. First aid experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

The College offers an excellent remuneration package and a one-bedroom flat is available for occupancy.
