PHYSICS LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Eastbourne College is seeking an experienced laboratory technician to coordinate the use of resources and facilities and provide assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the physics curriculum.

The College’s state-of-the-art science centre gives all pupils access to cutting edge technology. All four teaching laboratories on the physics floor are fully equipped with interactive white boards, data-logging facilities and the very latest teaching aids. The computer network serves each laboratory as well as the computer suite. There is an emphasis on practical work in the department, and pupils are encouraged to make full use of our extensive apparatus to improve their experiments during investigations.

The successful candidate will have a strong science background and, ideally, knowledge of basic electronics and electricity, including how to use a multi-meter, and be capable of lifting heavy classroom equipment on occasion

Normal working hours are 16 hours per week to be worked over four mornings during term time (33 weeks).

Gap Year Boarding Assistant

An opportunity has risen for an additional female Gap Year Boarding Assistant at St Andrew’s Prep. The placement would be for the 2022 academic year (i.e. September 2022- July 2023). 

We are looking to recruit a hard working and conscientious school leaver or graduate to support all areas of school and boarding life. This will include supporting academic lessons as well as coaching sport and being involved in other aspects of the co-curricular life of the school.

St Andrew’s Prep is a day and boarding school. You will be required to work with the boarders in the evenings and early mornings, and this will also include some weekends where you will accompany our boarders on trips.

This is a rewarding opportunity for gap year student or graduate who is seriously considering a career in teaching to enhance their CV.

Kitchen Porter

Holroyd Howe have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Porter at Eastbourne College.

They are looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to assist in a variety of tasks including cleaning, washing, carrying and other manual duties as requested by the kitchen team and to Holroyd Howe policies and standards.

This is a full time position (40hrs per week)

  • 5 days out of 7 as per rota
  • 20 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays
  • £19,760 per annum

Chef De Partie

Holroyd Howe have an exciting opportunity for a Chef de Partie at Eastbourne College.
