Sussex Independent Schools Diamond League 2019

Eastbourne College hosted the Hailsham and South Downs Area Trials at Eastbourne Sports Park. Results are now available on https://www.sisdl.co.uk/results-2019

Some highlights from the trials were:

Junior boys and girls:

• Toby jumped 1.60m to qualify first for the Sussex Championships
• Chloe came runner-up by a hair in the 200m with a time of 29.29 seconds

Inter boys and girls:

• Max achieved first place in the 200m with a time of 25.00 seconds
• Mimi ran a season personal best of 28.09 seconds in the 200m to reach qualification

Senior boys and girls:

• Captain Max led his team in the 100m sprint to qualify first with a time of 10.88 seconds
• And Captain Honey also qualified first in the 800m with a time of 2.32 minutes

All qualifying athletes will represent the district at the Sussex Championships on 8 June. Well done to all who took part.
