D of E expeditions
On Saturday 1 July, immediately after the conclusion of Speech Day formal events, 46 pupils and six members of staff departed from Eastbourne for the Duke of Edinburgh summer expeditions.
The group travelled to the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons.
26 pupils spent three days completing their Silver award qualification and the remaining 20 pupils undertook their Gold award practice over a four-day period.
Everyone involved thoroughly enjoyed the challenges they faced and each of the 46 pupils were successful in achieving their individual goals.
