Kirk-Greene prize
Congratulations to Ashraf Owasil, Year 9 Powell, winner of this year’s Kirk-Greene Junior French Reading Prize. Ashraf gave a superb rendition of Jacques Prévert’s poem ‘Déjeuner du Matin’ and an extract from St Exupéry’s ‘Le Petit Prince’, this year’s chosen pieces.
The judges had a difficult task selecting the winner among many excellent performances. Runner-up prizes and judge’s commendations were awarded to Bill Cao, Mimi Helyar, Sophie Nicholles and Imogen Smith.
