Eastbourne College achieves silver in “Top of the Bench” chemistry competition!

Great news just in from the Royal Society of Chemistry Top of the Bench chemistry competition. Our team comprising Izzie, Poppy, Freddie and Humreen came away as silver medallists in this well-established, challenging competition searching for practical and teamwork skills. Eleven school’s competed in this qualifying round, carrying out a practical assessment and answering accompanying questions on a topic unknown to the participants. This was followed by a full exam paper. Teams were awarded marks for their practical skill and points from their exam papers. Congratulations all.
