Shell Shock TV report

ITV Meridian recently visited the College to interview Tom Page (OE) and Director of Drama Tim Marriott about the development of ‘Shell Shock: The Play’. The interviews were shown on the Meridian evening news on Thursday 18 May. 

The College is proud to support this dynamic and heart felt solo show, performed by Tom, which was developed at the College and previewed here before going on tour this summer.

Telling one soldier’s story of coping with PTSD the show was rehearsed and performed last week ‘behind the wire’ at Aldershot Garrison. it opened at Sweet St Andrew’s, Hove, on Friday 5 May.

Further tour dates – Chesil Theatre, Winchester May 31-June 3; Capitol Theatre Horsham June 8-10; The Arts Theatre, London June 11; Gulbenkian Theatre, Canterbury June 12; Lancing College, June 13; The Old Market, Hove, June 20-22; Aldershot, June 28; Cambridge, June 29; Plymouth July 27 and Folkestone July 28.

The tour will end with a 14-night run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival from 12 – 26 August.

Performances support charities ‘Time to Change’ and ‘Heads Together’ working for better understanding of mental health issues in a military context and is funded by the Chancellor through the LIBOR fund. Further information at www.shellshock.org.uk.
