A Time for Reflection and Remembrance

At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, staff and pupils gathered at the School’s Memorial Arch for a moment of solemn reflection. Together, they honoured those who have lost their lives in conflict or suffered in the line of duty.

This moment of remembrance followed yesterday’s moving Remembrance Sunday service and parade, where our CCF cadets and adult volunteers played a key role in marking the occasion.

A group of cadets in military uniforms stands in formation on a grassy field, holding flags in a moment of reflection. Some are in camouflage, while a few wear dark uniforms. Brick buildings and trees are visible in the background. A uniformed soldier salutes a group of officials, including one in academic robes, during an outdoor ceremony of reflection and remembrance, with military personnel in formation on a grassy field. Red-brick buildings and trees are in the background. A group of young cadets in matching blue uniforms and berets stand in formation on a grassy field, their expressions attentive and solemn in a moment of reflection and remembrance, with autumn trees and flags in the background. Three people in formal attire carry wreaths of poppies to a memorial on a grassy field in an act of remembrance, with uniformed soldiers and cadets standing in rows behind them. Autumn trees and brick buildings frame the scene. A large group of people in military uniforms stand in formation on a grass field before a historic red-brick building with a tower, as a crowd observes from the side on a cloudy day of remembrance.
