Equestrians excel

The
equestrian team began the Michaelmas term with further successes at the NSEA
showjumping national championships at Petley Wood Equestrian Centre.  The
team won additional places at the national finals at Addington and built on
other places gained in the summer holidays at Felbridge.

In the
80cm the blue team (Abbie Buxton, Amelia Dipper, Liv Reeves and Alex Williams)
came fifth, all with clear rounds. Liv and Alex were making their debut and
showed real promise. The red team (India Piper-Dadswell, Amelia Dipper,
Callum Hynes and Charlie Pincus) came sixth with Charlie and India putting in
clear rounds.

In the 90cm the
purple team (Nick Crowther , India Piper-Dadswell, Charlie Pincus and Will
Reeves) came fourth.

In the 1m the
green team (Rosie Kelly, Charlie Pincus, India Piper-Dadswell, Nick Crowther)
came second qualifying for the national finals. The silver team (Will Reeves,
Lauren Carr, Imogen Carr, Nick Crowther) came third. At this height India was
placed second as an individual.

In the 1.10m,
despite the challenging weather conditions Rosie came third and India fourth,
gaining a further qualification for the national finals.

The team
will compete again on Saturday 16 September.
