On Sunday 9 October, the Eastbourne College equestrian team had a very successful day at the Farlington Eventers’ Challenge held at Coombelands.
The team competing in Class 2 (80/85 cm) (Imogen Carr, Laren Carr,Charlie Hamilton and India Piper-Dadswell) finished fifth out of 17 teams and qualified for the Hickstead finals in 2017. Imogen was placed second as an individual, thus also qualifying for Hickstead.
Both teams competing in Class 3 (90/95 cm) did extremely well and took second and third places out of 17 teams. The team that was placed second (Nick Crowther, Serena Flower, Rosie Kelly and Will Reeves) qualified for Hickstead finals and Rosie, who finished in second place qualified individually for Hickstead. The third placed team comprised Imogen Carr, Jess Chapman, Nick Crowther and Charlie Hamilton. Imogen also placed fourth individually.
The team that competed in the 1 metre class were placed second in a close match against Farlington School in torrential rain. Well done to Nick Crowther, Serena Flower, Rosie Kelly and Will Reeves.
