Homeless sleepout

On the bitter cold evening of Saturday 8 December, sixteen hardy pupils and two staff members braved the elements to sleep rough within the College grounds. They did so to increase awareness of the plight of the homeless and raise much-needed funds for the Winter Night Shelter project.

In total, their selfless act raised a fabulous £852. This sum was collected from staff, audience members at the final performance of Dracula, two chapel collections (including Christmas Day) and a superb single amount raised by pupil, Katie Brauer.

The money will go to The Salvation Army for the Winter Night Shelter project.

The pupils who took part in the sleepout were Katie Brauer, George Grave, Oliver Wright, Jonty Devine, Cameron Taylor, Patrick Smith, Olivia Mills, Charlie Thomas, Christy Lam, Harold Wolstenholme, Max Walker, Joe Tickle, Nik Brietzmann, Ed Richards, George Eaton, and Guy Sands-Renton.

They were accompanied by staff members, Mrs Lathbury and Mr Fisher. Two further pupils, Amelia Why and Dammy Sokale, helped collect money from the Dracula audience.

An enormous thank you to everyone involved.
