LAMDA gold medal distinction

Eighteen Eastbourne College drama pupils who took LAMDA examinations in March are celebrating excellent results.

All candidates passed, with four obtaining passes with ‘Distinction’ in their Bronze, Silver and Gold Medal examinations. These individuals, Fred Gregory, Dennis Kang, Bertie Beeching and Mia Finnamore, are pictured here. Nine further pupils obtained passes with ‘Merit’. These were the best results achieved at the College to date. (See full list of successful candidates below).

LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) examinations have a reputation for excellence across the globe. Their purpose is to:
• support the creative, intellectual and social development of the individual as a whole.
• unlock the imagination and creative-thinking
• develop communication skills build self-confidence and self-esteem
• acquire skill certification for career development.

LAMDA exams at Eastbourne College can be taken from Grade 5 to Grade 8 (Gold Medal). Pupils who pass any of the QCF-accredited Level 3 exams are able to claim between 20 and 90 UCAS points.
