Royal Windsor first

Eastbourne College is the first school to ever have two equestrian teams qualify for the National Schools Equestrian Association final at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. On Saturday 13 May both teams had an incredibly successful day gaining 1st and 4th place.

The standard of competition was exceptionally high with 21 schools competing from across England and Wales.  The Eastbourne College blue team – Imogen Carr, Rosie Kelly, India Piper-Dadswell and Will Reeves – were the overall winners with India and Rosie completing clear rounds and the team achieving an excellent time.

The College's red team – Lauren Carr, Jess Chapman, Serena Flower and Charlie Pincus – finished in fourth place with some excellent performances, including a clear round ridden by Serena.

All eight Eastbourne College riders remained calm under pressure and were well supported by their excellent coach Judi Piper-Dadswell and enthusiastic family and friends. A day spent rubbing shoulders with the Household Cavalry, international equestrian champions and Olympic medallists and with such tremendous competition success is one that everyone involved will remember for a very long time.
