Top 6 place

Serena Flower, Year 10 Watt, finished sixth out of 36 competitors at her first ever British Eventing Competition over the weekend. Serena and her horse, Millie, were competing at Chilham Castle, in Kent.

Despite being a little disappointed with her dressage score, Serena completed her show-jumping round inside the time allowed with no penalty points and flew round the cross-country course finishing clear: four seconds inside the optimum time. This was a superb first attempt and a very good experience at this hugely competitive event where Serena was the youngest competitor by at least five years.

Serena is now focusing on the next British Eventing Competition which takes place on 26 May at Borde Hill.
