Towner visits
As part of the annual schools exhibition, Year 9 artists from the College have been making visits behind the scenes of the Towner Art Gallery with the gallery curators.
Pupils have been able to get up close to works inspired by the South Downs in watercolour, acrylic and photographic mediums. The artists’ work they have viewed include pieces by Eric Ravilious, Jem Southam, Alfred Fitzwalter Grace, Louis Catherine Paris and Harold Mockford.
These visits will inform the Year 9 ceramic, painting and photography work completed during the Lent term for the forthcoming 2014 schools exhibition.
