A Busy and Rewarding Term for DofE
It has been another busy and successful term for the DofE team, with fifty-four Year 10 pupils attending their Silver practice expedition in Ashdown Forest over the half-term break.
Looking ahead, we have twenty Year 12 pupils heading to Wales on Saturday 27 June for their Gold practice expedition, alongside fifty-four Year 10 pupils who will be completing their Silver assessment in Wootton Bassett.
In May, twenty-six pupils and Old Eastbournians were honoured to attend Buckingham Palace Gardens to receive their awards and meet the Duke of Edinburgh — a truly memorable experience for all involved.
This year, our pupils have contributed an impressive 3,445 social value volunteering hours — an increase of over 1,000 hours compared to last year — which equates to an outstanding £26,008 in value.
We are also delighted to share that Amelie K. has been selected for the DofE Young Leaders Programme and has now enrolled. Congratulations to Amelie on this fantastic achievement.
