Cadets on Course at HMS Raleigh
During the Easter break, while most were enjoying a well‑earned rest, two of our Royal Navy cadets swapped lie‑ins for early starts and blustery conditions in Plymouth Harbour.
William and Ralph joined the RN CCF Easter Camp at HMS Raleigh, embracing a week of full naval routine — from early ‘Call the Hands’ wake‑ups to marching to and from meals. In challenging conditions, both cadets successfully achieved their RYA Powerboat Level 2 qualifications, a fantastic accomplishment.
Along the way, they also discovered that the Royal Navy appears to run on a steady supply of Weetabix, rice and chicken… but apparently that information is classified!
