CCF Biennial Inspection – Eastbourne College
Eastbourne College Combined Cadet Force recently welcomed Lieutenant Colonel Wells (Coldstream Guards) as Reviewing Officer, accompanied by Squadron Leader Sermon (Schools’ Cadet Expansion Officer, Southeast) and WO1 Welsh (Team Commander, Cadet Training Team, Headquarters Southeast Brigade), for the MoD’s Biennial Review and assurance process.
The inspection covered policies, resources, facilities, and documentation, but the highlight of the day was the parade, where cadets and officers were formally inspected. This was followed by a wide range of Wednesday afternoon activities, including command tasks, map and compass training, skill at arms, rifle marksmanship, model helicopter and glider flying, and military swimming activities.
Needless to say, the cadets and officers rose to the occasion, even the weather played its part, resulting in a highly successful and productive review.
