HIGH PARTICPATION, HIGH PERFORMANCE
Netball is one of the most popular sports at Eastbourne College, especially among girls, and has seen significant success at the elite level in recent years. It is a core sport in the Lent term, with an extensive programme that fields 16 teams, ranging from the U14E VII to the 1st VII.
Every girl has the opportunity to train regularly and participate in fixtures every Saturday, alongside various midweek events. Our facilities are also used by local netball clubs and groups ranging from amateur to performance.
Each age group’s A teams compete in the highly competitive Sussex Cup (SISNA) as well as the appropriate national knockout competitions, which begin in the Michaelmas term. Winter training sessions are held on the College’s premier outdoor courts and in the newly built sports hall throughout the Michaelmas term. These sessions benefit from expert coaching led by Lisa Price, Director of Netball and former England international.
Two school teams (U15 and U19) compete in the England Netball League (ENL) Adult League.

- U15 won the SISNA tournament at Brighton College in 2025
- 1st VII finished 4th at SISNA (2024)
- Lily Harley selected for Super league club London Pulse U15/U17 and U19 squads; now an Old Eastbournian, she plays for Superleague side Leeds Rhinos.
- U15 and U16 Sussex County Champions (2016 and 2017)
- Semi-finalists in the U15 Independent Schools Netball Competition Plate
- 5 x Year 9 players in the 2023 intake are already playing for local clubs, talent hubs, and progressing through Superleague pathways
