Neurodiversity Celebration Week

This week, we celebrated Neurodiversity Celebration Week (NCW).

NCW is an opportunity to recognise and value the many different ways people think, learn and experience the world. Neurodiversity includes conditions such as Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia, and reminds us that these differences are a natural part of human diversity.

The week encourages us to move away from stereotypes and instead focus on the strengths, talents and perspectives that neurodivergent people bring to our community. By learning more and supporting one another, we can help create a school environment where everyone feels respected, included and able to thrive.

A poster on a wooden surface reads: Did you know Chris Packham is Autistic? with his photo. Below, a quotation highlights the value of autistic traits in achievement. Celebrate Neurodiversity this Neurodiversity Celebration Week at neurodiversityweek.com.              A display board for Neurodiversity Celebration Week in dance features profiles of Darcey Bussell and Belle Bluestocking, info about dyslexia, photos of dancers, and a section on Bob Fosse with images and a brief biography promoting inclusion.              A poster on a wooden surface features Maggie Aderin-Pocock and reads: “Did you know Maggie Aderin-Pocock is dyslexic? ‘My dyslexic thinking means I don’t just think outside the box… I think outside the planet.’” Celebrate neurodiversity awareness.
