Headmaster’s Commendations Nov 2016

The Headmaster is pleased to commend the following pupils:

Bill Cao (Year 11 Powell) for his outstanding result in the recent senior National Maths Challenge. This is an open competition, sat by around 100,000 pupils internationally. Bill scored 100%, a feat normally only achieved by a handful of young people in the country. It is the first time we have ever had anyone at the College score 100% on this test. He qualifies for the next round of the competition, which is for the top 1000 performers.

Aidan Tam P13, for representing Eastbourne College at three events in Hong Kong in October 2016, meeting and speaking with parents and their families, answering their questions and acting as an excellent ambassador for the school.

Elizabeth Gower (Year13 Blackwater), Adam Howard (Year 12 Craig), Darcey Joyce (Year 13 Blackwater), Thivya Kularajan (Year 13 Watt) and Charles Pendry (Year 13 Craig) for their hard work and support at the Charity Society Tea and Cake sale for the Tom Lewis Memorial Rugby match.  They were on duty and fully involved for the entire afternoon, until the last crumbs were cleared away and were key to making the event a great success.

They will be presented with a certificate by the Headmaster.
