Newton Reading Prize 2018

Last week English pupils participated in the annual Newton Reading Prize competition. The pupils that take part are invited to read a short piece of literature of their choice, of no more than two minutes each.  They are judged on their delivery and vocal qualities among other criteria, and a number of prizes are awarded. This year’s prizes were awarded to Euan (first prize), Emma (second prize) and Ellie (third prize). Congratulations to them and to the following pupils who were highly commended: Adam, Holly, Luca and Sophie.
