SPARK award

Tom Page, Year 13 Craig, was a key part of the Arts Connect team that recently won the SPARK Arts and Culture Achievement Award.

Eastbourne College was delighted to be a partner in Arts Connect, a programme of arts courses for young adults (18-25 year olds) with
Learning Disabilities.  The programme aimed to introduce young adults to a
range of different arts experiences, making art a part of their day-to-day
lives.

SPARK is the operating name for East Sussex Council for Voluntary
Youth Services, an organisation originally established in 1974. Recently
it became a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. In
2013 it was rebranded as ‘SPARK – A network for young people’s organisations.

The SPARK vision is to enable children and young people to develop
their social, physical and personal characteristics to grow as
individuals and contribute to society. They do this by supporting groups
and individuals who work directly with them.
