Celebrating 150-year membership with HMC
The College was honoured to welcome Simon Hyde, the General Secretary of the HMC, to Eastbourne College today as we celebrated our 150-year membership with this esteemed organisation. It was a privilege to host Simon and mark this significant milestone in our history. During his visit, Simon enjoyed coffee with the Headmaster and had the opportunity to meet several of our students. In a delightful gesture, he was presented with a specially made cake to commemorate the occasion.
Following this, Simon was given a tour of the school by Sophie, Head of Watt House, before returning to the Headmaster’s office to record his podcast. It was a wonderful day of celebration and reflection, honouring our longstanding connection with the HMC.
