Nîmes exchange 2019

A group of College pupils visited Nîmes at the start of the Easter holidays. Pupils from Years 11, 12 and 13  experienced a week of full immersion in the French culture and language.

The pupils stayed with families from the Lycée A. Camus, and followed a programme of activities packed with various visits and excursions combined with an intensive language course in a school in Montpellier.

It was a stimulating and enriching week which, hopefully, will have boosted their knowledge of French.

A group of ten teenagers, including a former pupil and the author of a debut novel, sit on the edge of a circular stone fountain in a sunny outdoor plaza, with cafés and shops in the background. Some smile at the camera whilst others chat or look away. A group of young people, including a former pupil, sit together on a patio, smiling and talking around wicker tables and chairs. Rucksacks, water bottles, and notebooks are visible, with buildings lining the street in the background. A group of fifteen young people and one adult, including a former pupil, stand in front of an ancient stone ruin with large arches, posing for a photo on a sunny day. A metal sign and fence are visible in the foreground.
